Club Room

Our Social Club is open to the public on evenings and weekends, but the room is available for hire during the day. It has a large capacity with plenty of seating available, along with a brand new projector and big screen. WiFi is available and refreshment trolleys can also be provided.

The Club Room is an ideal space for anyone looking to hold a Wake – a bar service can be provided, and caterers recommended.

Conference Room

The B-17G Flying Fortress – Mission Mistress conference room can hold up to 20 people (dependent on room configuration) and is dedicated to the ‘Mission Mistress’. Otherwise known as a USAF B-17G Flying Fortress which crashed in the field, yards from the current Community Centre building on 6th January 1945, killing 5 airmen. Commemorative artwork and information are on display in the room for all to see.

For hirers, this room can be flexible in terms of its layout. A flipchart and big screen SMART TV are available for any presentation requirements, just let us know at the time of booking if these are required. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and tea trolleys can be booked for an additional fee.

Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar can be added on to Hall or Club Room hire (subject to availability) to allow for increased capacity. It can also be hired separately and can hold 20-30 people comfortably. Bingo is held in this room every other Tuesday night and Poker every Wednesday night!

Half Hall 1

If the whole Hall is too big for your needs, our partitions enable us to offer a smaller, more practical space for parties, gatherings, meetings, training etc. (Please note that a minimum hire charge applies for Saturday nights – see our FAQ page for more information).

Half Hall 2

Slightly smaller in size than Half Hall 1 but lots of natural light and separate access if needed.

(Please note that a minimum hire charge applies for Saturday nights – see our FAQ page for more information).

Whole Hall

With a standing capacity of 230 people, our whole hall hire is the go-to option for large parties, wedding receptions, kids parties with soft play / bouncy castles and our very own New Years Eve party. This room is dedicated to Geoff Carlisle, who was Vice-Chairman of the Association at the original Community Centre on Heldhaw Road and who, sadly, never got to see the opening of the new Centre as it is today.
